Proposed Safety Tickets and Fines

For Non-Compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations

Based on feedback from WSCC stakeholders in 2016, the WSCC reviewed and revised the proposed system of ticketing for certain occupational health and safety violations. Once again, the WSCC is asking stakeholders for feedback on the list of offences, the amount of the fines, and the system in general.

Public meetings will take place at the following dates and locations:

April 4, 7-9pm

April 9, 7-9pm

Yellowknife

April 16, 6:30-8:30pm

April 24, 7-9pm

Proposed Revisions to the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations

The WSCC is continually reviewing the legislation it administers to make sure the legislation is current and fits the purpose for which it was created.

The WSCC has a list of amendments planned for the Regulations to address the small number of identified issues. We invite you to review the proposed amendments and provide your comments to the WSCC.

Please submit your feedback by March 9, 2018. You can send your comments to lawfeedback@wscc.nt.ca.
